How You Can Become a Friend of Dino Diane's Adventure Club
Let’s all work together to help our young people grow in confidence, self-reliance, and well-being by spending more time in nature. We invite your service organization to cross promote with us.
We'll post your organization on our website along with your activities & events so that our members can learn more about your cause!
Our Young People's Mental Health Crisis is Real and It's Growing!
nature provides a cure...
We need your help to inspire our kids to disconnect from their screens and to connect with nature!
Please support
our
Cause.
Did you know ... globally, 20% of our kids struggle with anxiety while 25% suffer from depression. Some emergency rooms have seen a 50% increase in suicidal adolescents, especially, among girls 12 – 17 years old.
The fact is, our young people are facing a mental health crisis, and yet ...
A recent survey found that half of all kids spend less than an hour a day outdoors, while 75% of parents report that their children spend 4-8 hrs. a day on their screens. Some experts are now calling it a "Nature-deficit Disorder" that may lead to all kinds of physical & emotional illnesses.
The American Academy of Pediatrics has stated that our young people could improve their mental health by spending time outdoors. Just five hours a week in nature offers immeasurable healing powers!
The Dino Diane's Adventure Club is a 501(c)3 with a mission to inspire our young people to strap on their hiking boots, flip-flops, or sneakers, and discover a natural world much bigger than their screens, becoming courageous adventurers, growing in confidence, self-reliance, and instill a love for learning through adventure in nature.
Let's teach our kids how to use screens responsibly and create a healthy balance between screen time, family time, and time in nature.
We're about environmental education, living a healthy lifestyle and fun!
